Scheduling checks
Keep watches running after you close the terminal.
A watch only produces events when something runs watch check. To have that happen on its own,
install a scheduler entry. The interval defaults to 15 minutes and cannot be shorter: checking
Vinted more often gets the session blocked (see Staying unblocked).
vinted watch service install --interval 15m
vinted watch service status
vinted watch service uninstallWrites a systemd user service and timer running vinted watch check --all for the
profile you installed from. Each run starts after a random delay of up to a tenth of the
interval.
Install also runs loginctl enable-linger. Without it a user timer stops when you log out
and does not come back at boot, which is exactly the failure you would not notice.
systemctl --user list-timers | grep vintedStatus
not installedwhen the unit files are missingactive, inactiveorfailedon systemd.systemctl --userreportsunknownwhen it is not available, plus a warning suffix when the timer is not enabled or linger is offloadedornot loadedon launchd
systemd also reports the last trigger time as last_run. vinted doctor shows the same
state, so one command tells you whether scheduling works.
The log
Scheduled output is appended to:
$XDG_STATE_HOME/vinted-cli/vinted-watch-<profile>.logwatch check rotates the log to .log.1 once it passes 1 MiB. The log stays within two files of
about that size. uninstall removes the units and the log.
