vinted-cli

vinted-cli

Drive Vinted from the terminal. Search, listings, chat and watches, JSON by default.

Vinted is a browser-and-app-only marketplace with no public API. vinted is a single Go binary that logs in with your own account by importing your browser cookies. It exposes the site's search, listing, selling and inbox features as noun-verb commands that print JSON.

That makes the marketplace scriptable. Pipe a search into jq, keep a watch running from a systemd timer, or hand the whole thing to an agent.

What it looks like

vinted search "levis 501" --price-to 30 --order newest_first
vinted item show 4923018331
vinted chat send 18273645 "is this still available?"
vinted watch add search "carhartt jacket" --price-to 40 --name carhartt
vinted item create --title "carhartt jacket" --description "size M" --price 45 \
--category 2052 --condition "very good" --size M --image jacket.jpg

Commands print JSON by default.

vinted search "nike tech fleece" --format pretty
vinted search "nike tech fleece" | jq -r '.items[] | "\(.price) \(.title)"'

What it will not do

Checkout, payments and shipping are out. So are settings edits and marking an item sold outside Vinted's order flow. The CLI reads and writes the things you would do while browsing, selling and talking to members, and stops there.

Verified accounts

Vinted lets only accounts it has verified use chat, offers, favorites and listing changes. Until then those commands exit 3 with a link to the verification page.

Unofficial

Vinted publishes no API. This talks to the same endpoints and pages the website uses, so it can break when they change something. When that happens the CLI fails loudly with a prefilled issue link rather than returning nothing. See API changes.
